About the course

During this 5 week course we will be drawing inspiration from various famous artists past and present who were fascinated by the incredible beauty and light effects created between dusk and dawn. 

Simple fun structured exercises designed to focus on light techniques and paint effects of these artists will be explored to capture the ambience of the twilight period. Drawing and learning from these approaches we will then apply them to our final Canvas with our own interpretation of a dusk to dawn oil painting.

Course Subjects Include

This course will immerse students in using oils to unlock texture, depth, composition and perspective in their works along with insights into famous artists who used them.

All students will work towards a creating a final canvas applying both the equipment and techniques they have learned. This is a great way to expand an artists self direction by learning from a professional artist as well as contributing more variety to their own work and developing their own personal style.
