As a gesture of goodwill, we offer one make-up class per 6-week block to support our students. This runs on the 3rd Saturday of every block.

About the course

These Landscape courses are structured towards young artists aged between of 10 and 15 who are looking to expand their painting experience and techniques, mastering the art of oil painting. Simple step by step tutoring with practical exercises are designed to help them understand this wonderful medium, this will all be provided in our beautiful studio setting.

This short course will immerse students in using oils to unlock texture, depth, composition and perspective in their works along with insights into famous artists who used them.

All students will work towards a creating a final canvas applying both the equipment and techniques they have learned. This is a great way to expand a young artists self direction by learning from a professional artist as well as contributing more variety to their own portfolio and developing their own personal style.

This Course Is Suited To

-Students aged between 10 and 15 with a passion for oil painting / including beginners.
-Students considering further education in art.
-Students looking to explore fun art exercises and meet other young creatives.

CITIES OF LIGHT Painting Lost Horizons

During this 6 week course we will be exploring and drawing inspiration from various famous artists both classical and contemporary fascinated by the beautiful horizons created from our diverse city landscapes. Simple fun structured exercises designed to focus on the light techniques and paint effects of these artists will be explored to understand painting architectural form and structure. Drawing and learning from these approaches we will then apply them to our own final interpretation of a city landscape

About the artist

Richard is an English artist who has over 25 year’s experience within the creative arts.The Lightbound Artist (www.thelightboundartist.co.uk) tells of his own personal journey over the years.

Through landscapes in both the UK and aboard he tells a story through en plein air painting that captures the marvellous and melancholic effects of nature during brief moments of time.

No poster paint in sight, we use real art equipment!
